What is the difference between LinkedIn and LinkedIn Pulse?

I'm a bit confused about the difference between LinkedIn and LinkedIn Pulse. I need to understand how these platforms can help reach a broader audience, encouraging engagement and meaningful discussion.

LinkedIn is a professional networking platform where one connects with the people of similar professional interests and search for job opportunities. LinkedIn pulse is simply if you post a blog/article on your profile. Recently, I shared my first post on LinkedIn. I was actually unaware that LinkedIn had a special name for its article section! I only came to notice it as I was checking the URL of the article when I was sharing it;

LinkedIn is a professional networking platform that helps you connect with others in similar fields for career development and job opportunities. You can simply create your profile on LinkedIn with an email ID and showcase your education, work experiences, etc. Many organizations and businesses use their presence on LinkedIn to build their brand credibility. You can find job openings by following your favorite company profiles, getting updates on the latest trends in your favorite industry, being part of various groups, etc., which will also help you grow.

LinkedIn Pulse is a part of LinkedIn itself, focusing on publishing content such as blogs, articles, etc. This is a way to reach more people and share your knowledge, thereby building trust in the brand or service you offer.

As we all know, LinkedIn is a powerful publishing platform mainly useful for the professionals. And in my personal opinion, LinkedIn is a great place to reach your targeted audience. LinkedIn and LinkedIn Pulse(Former Linkedin Article) are two distinct features on the LinkedIn platform, each serving different purposes.

LinkedIn Pulse is a content publishing platform within LinkedIn that allows users to publish and share long-form articles or blog posts.

The primary purpose of Pulse was to help individuals and organizations showcase their expertise in specific industries

LinkedIn is the main social networking platform for professionals. It allows users to create profiles, connect with other professionals, find jobs, join groups, and share updates about their professional lives. LinkedIn is a broader platform that encompasses various features, including job searching, networking, and content sharing. 

LinkedIn Pulse is a feature on LinkedIn that allows users to publish long-form content such as articles, blog posts or thought leadership pieces directly on the LinkedIn platform.
