There are various reasons that the website cannot be indexed on google:-

  1. Don't have a domain name

This can be due to the use of the wrong  URL content or its correct setup on WordPress. There must be a need for the IP address redirection that may be configured correctly. There is a need to fix the 301 redirects from the www version of the pages on the respective domains. There they can search the site and land on the physical domain name.

  1. If the website is not optimized properly:-

If the website is not optimized for search engines, it cannot be crawled on google. To make sure  that the website has a proper meta title, metadata, and proper tags as well as on-page optimization elements for it.

  1. Not a mobile-friendly site

A mobile-friendly site is an important part to be indexed by google because it needs to be introduced by mobile-first indexing. If the website content is not good and optimized then there will be a chance of losing the ranking as well as the traffic of it.  Mobile optimization is needed to be difficult for adding responsive design principles like CSS and media queries that ensure the users find that they need to encounter navigational problems for it.

  1. Site loading is slow

If it makes the site to be loaded and appeared with google among the top results in the index this makes the site take a long time to load and it could be due to different factors of it. This helps to identify the parts of the site that needs to be urgent for the speed of attention for it. This analysis of the site reduces the connections, reduces the payload sizes of those that use the browser for the cache, etc.. which gives the information for the site to be improved for it.

  1. Website is duplicate content

If the site has duplicate content and if there is unique content and if the site is not copied from other sites for it.

  1. The site should have minimal content

The site should have minimal content to be well-written for success that the website should have good and informative content for it that should answer the questions provided that the information needs to be distinctive from the site.

  1. If the site is not user-friendly and engaged to visitors

If the visitors are easy to browse the site without getting frustrated or bored google will rank the site higher in search results. It is important not to target the keyword but to ensure that the related posts can link to other related articles or pages on the topic.

  1. New site is indexed.

If the website and the page are new and not indexed as there has been no chance to crawl or index it once this takes a time to crawl and is needed for taking to be indexed this may range from days to several weeks that depends on the various factors for it.

If the site is not indexed by google, then it determines the root causes of the problems and takes the necessary steps to correct them.

There are several potential reasons as to why Google may not be indexing your page, and each one requires a different approach to the problem. Your website's technical problems could be one reason. Incomplete XML sitemaps, broken links, or server issues can all prohibit Google from scanning and indexing your website. You must locate the technical problems and resolve them to repair this. If there are any mistakes, use Google Search Console to find them and fix them as quickly as you can.

Low-quality content is another reason your website might not be getting indexed. Google rewards helpful, high-quality content that keeps readers interested. Google might not value your website enough to index it if it has low-quality content. Make sure your content is entertaining, educational, and unique to address this. Keep duplicate content and keyword stuffing to a minimum. Don't overdo it with the keywords; only use those that are pertinent.

Another reason why your website could not be getting indexed is duplicate content. Google may decide not to index your website if it contains duplicate content or stuff that is already published somewhere online. Make sure your content is original and not plagiarised from other websites to address this. Check for duplicate content using programmes like Copyscape, then rewrite it to make it unique. Google won't be able to index your website if it has crawl issues. Crawl issues happen when Google has trouble indexing and crawling your website. To check for crawl issues and quickly fix them, use Google Search Console. This will facilitate Google's website crawl and indexing.

Also, a no-index tag in your HTML code can stop search engines from indexing your page. Search engines are told not to index your website with a no-index tag. Check to see whether you unintentionally put a no-index tag on your website. It can take some time for Google to find and index your new website. Be patient and constantly add new information to your website. Building high-quality backlinks to your website are also crucial for assisting Google in finding it. Last but not least, if your website disobeys Google's webmaster standards, it can be subject to a manual action penalty that stops it from being indexed. Go through Google Search Console for any manual actions, then take immediate corrective action if necessary.

There can be several reasons why your website is not indexed on Google. Here are some of the most common reasons:

1) Technical issues: Technical issues on your website can prevent Google from indexing your pages. This can include errors in your website's code, server issues, or problems with your sitemap or robots.txt file.

2) Noindex tag: Your website may have a "noindex" tag that tells search engines not to index the page. This can happen if you or your web developer added the tag by mistake or intentionally to block search engines from indexing the page.

3) Duplicate content: If your website has duplicate content, Google may not index all of the pages. Duplicate content can confuse Google and prevent it from understanding which page should be indexed.

4) Low-quality content: Google's algorithms are designed to prioritize high-quality content that is relevant and valuable to users. If your website has low-quality or thin content, Google may not index your pages.

5) Manual action: Google may have taken a manual action against your website for violating its quality guidelines. This can happen if your website has engaged in spammy or manipulative practices, such as keyword stuffing or buying links.

6) New website: If your website is new, it may take some time for Google to index your pages. This is normal and can take several days or weeks, depending on various factors such as the website's content and structure.

Reasons for the website not indexing on google;

  • The site isn’t engaging the audience; Creating a user-friendly and engaging site is essential for boosting your SEO efforts. The search engines will rank your site higher in the search results if you are good at engaging the audience. Google and other search engines will only rank sites that are likely to facilitate the users in terms of a good user experience.

  • Usage of JavaScript to Render content; The usage of JavaScript in itself isn’t an issue that causes indexing problems. There isn’t any rule that can state JS is the issue behind causing problems. There is a need to look at each individual site and then diagnose the issues. Furthermore, the JS is the thing that creates problems in preventing crawling through shady things. There are techniques, which may be akin to cloaking. If you are hiding your JS or CSS files, then you do not need to do this.

  • The Site has a Redirect Loop; The redirect loops are also one of the issues that prevent indexing. However, it is generally caused by typos and can be fixed easily.

  • Rectify issues that lead to Penalization; You have had a penalty before, and it hasn’t been rectified yet. The search engine giant won’t index your site or web pages. If your site is penalized by google, then they can again do it.

  • Missing SiteMap; Sitemap is a list of pages on your site, that help search engines what content they are offering users. If there is no sitemap google will become blind unless all your web pages are indexed or receiving traffic.

The site or page is new : Because we haven't had a chance to crawl or index it yet, it may not be in our index. After you publish a new page, it takes some time until we crawl it, and even longer for us to index it. It may be weeks or months.

The site isn't linked to other sites on the web : Other websites on the internet do not link to yours. See if you can get other sites to link to your site. Please don't pay them to do so, this could be considered a violation of Google guidelines.

Error detected by google at the time of crawling :  Most common reasons for this are that you have a login page for your site, or that your site blocks Google for some reason. Make sure that you can access your site in an incognito window.

Google missed it : The two most frequent explanations for this are that your site has a login page or that Google is intentionally blocked on your site. Check to find out if you can view your website in a private window.

This is due to a number of factors. Your website could not get indexed if it is brand-new. The age of the website is the first factor to take into account. The next thing to consider is whether or not it is blocked in robots. So lets prepare a checklist.

1. Like mentioned earlier, Website's Age

2. Check you robots.txt file.

3. Number of quality backlinks

4. Lacking website authority

5. Check for Google penalties

There might be a number of reasons why your website is not being indexed by Google. Firstly, it might be because it is a brand-new website. It might not have been submitted to Google through the Google console site so that its bots could crawl, index and rank the website. If by chance the website was submitted and still has not been indexed, it might be because Robot.txt has been enabled. Robot.txt is the file which gives crawlers instructions on which URLs to crawl depending on the purpose, such as to stop heavy traffic, unwanted resources, etcetera. If the website is still not being indexed, one must check for the noindex tag. A noindex tag blocks the webpage from being accessed by the crawlers.

If neither of these options works, further if your account is not a brand new one, it means that the Google algorithm has found your content to be of low quality, or it to be plagiarized and filled with spinned content.

  • Your Site Is Not Mobile-Friendly : You don't have a domain name, which is the first reason Google won't index your site. This can be the case if you're using the incorrect URL for the content or if WordPress isn't configured properly.

  • Your Site Is Not Mobile-Friendly : Since Google adopted Mobile-First indexing, having a mobile-friendly website is essential to getting your site crawled.

  • Your Site Loads Slowly : Google is less likely to want to highlight slow-loading websites in the top results of their index. There are various reasons why your website can take a long time to load.

  •  You’re Not Using A Sitemap : A sitemap is a list of every page on your website and one way for Google to discover what material you have. With the aid of this tool, Google Search Console will be able to crawl and index all pages.

Meta Tags Are Set To Noindex Nofollow : Unfortunately, noindex, nofollow meta tags can occasionally be set by accident. For instance, before the noindex, nofollow setting was properly configured in your website's backend, a link or page on your website may have been indexed by Google's crawler and later removed.

Your website may not be indexed by Google for a variety of reasons, some of which are as follows:

Blocking robots.txt files: The robots.txt file on your website may prevent Google bots from viewing and indexing the pages on your website.

Low website traffic: If your website doesn't get much traffic, Google may take some time to index it.

Poor website structure: Google may have trouble effectively indexing your website if it has a lot of internal links and broken links.

Duplicate content: Google may have problems deciding which page to index if your website contains many pages with the same information.

New website: Google may take a while to index a new website; this time frame might range from a few days to a few months.

Technical problems: Your website may experience server failures or slow loading times, which would hinder Google from accessing and indexing it.

Sitemap not submitted: If Google doesn't have a sitemap for your website, it might not know which pages to index.

  1. Robots.txt file: If you have a robots.txt file that blocks Google from accessing your website, it will not be indexed.

  2. Sitemap: Submitting a sitemap to Google Search Console can help Google discover and index your pages. If you have not submitted your sitemap, your website may not be indexed.

  3. Duplicate content: Google may not index pages with duplicate content as it can create a poor user experience.

  4. Low-quality content: If your website has low-quality, thin or spammy content, Google may not index it.

  5. Technical issues: Technical issues such as broken links, server errors, or long page load times can prevent Google from indexing your website.

  6. New website: If your website is new, it may take some time for Google to find and index it.

  7. Lack of inbound links: Google uses links to discover new pages on the web. If your website does not have any inbound links, it may not be indexed by Google.

If you are facing any of the above issues, you can try resolving them to improve the chances of your website being indexed by Google.
