Branding has so much to cover, from brand positioning, colour palette, logo designing, company profile designing, brand story, audience persona, business cards, website design and so many other factors. Once you work on these then come the brand marketing part which includes paid marketing, SEO, content marketing etc.

Do your research first and then go ahead with branding.

1, Brand Identity

It reflects who you are through logo, color pattern, fonts, and visual experience. First impression has a huge role in digital branding. Digital branding should come across all fields including websites, social media, email campaigns, and certain other digital platforms

2, Website Design and User Experience (UI/UX)

A well-designed, mobile-optimized website is important. A website is a place where customers understand your brand’s value and professionalism. User experience is another key factor in which it is better to create a simple and easy-to-navigate website leading to better engagement and holding people in a website

3, SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION (SEO)

On-Page SEO: optimizing content, meta titles, descriptions, providing tags and URLs to ensure the brand is findable through search engines, which in terms helps drive organic traffic to your website, another important factor is content, providing high-quality relevant content which includes images, videos, and case studies by addressing customer pain points is a must. 

4, Social Media

The brand must be visible across social media according to the niche that you are following. Active engagement through social media builds a loyal community around your brand, for building that you have to be active across social media by posting images, and videos, and possibly do everything in order to make the customers engaged in your social media.

5, Content Marketing

Educational and informative content helps to engage and build trust with customers, blogging also helps SEO for making the audience engaged, videos are powerful tools and have better reach in social media compared to image and text posts in social media. Platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook offer extensive support for that.

6, Influencer Marketing

Collaborating with influencers is a huge deal, but selecting the right influencers for the promotion of your brand is hard, rather than opting for an influencer analyze them based on their quality, make sure they are a good choice for your brand, and then finalize an influencer.

7, Ads(social media,Google ads)

Targeted advertising across social media and Google are crucial factor that comes under digital branding. These ads are costly but for your brand appearance, they are a beast. Several types of campaigns are available in which retargeting plays a huge role in which it retargeting the visitors who visited your site early.

8, Reputation Management

Reviews and testimonials play a wide role in the publicity of your brand and in platforms like Google My Business, be ready to face positive and negative reviews. People will notice how you address negative reviews, addressing negative reviews professionally also plays a huge impact in increasing your brand visibility, following certain PR campaigns, can build credibility and authority.

As a digital marketer with over 20 years in the digital branding and marketing field, I have been closely watching the developments in the branding industry. 10 years ago, we all used to look at News papers and TV Ads to know about a brand. But that is not the case any more. Even though many of us still read news papers, most of us don't read the printed versions. Instead, we read the digital versions.

I have been watching the evolution of digital branding in the past 10+ years closely. TV Ads and Newspaper ads slowly gave way to social media branding and digital branding. I have personally worked with a few clients who spend millions in digital marketing. 

Now, let me come to the point. The question is, what are all different aspects of digital branding. There are several aspects to digital branding and what is right for your business can vary depending on many factors including your business location, your target audience, your budget etc.

In general, I suggest following digital branding activities for our clients in Dubai/UAE area:

1. Website: Your website is the face of your business. Make a brandable, intuitive, unique website that showcases your brand. A website is the place where most people look at to learn more about your brand and it is the best place to showcase your brand. So, in my opinion, the website is the first and best digital branding platform.

2. Social Media branding: Social Media is the best way to reach out to a large number of people instantly. Most social media platforms are currently free to use even though you have to spend an advertising budget to reach out to a larger, target audience. I would always recommend all of our clients to create social media channels in all popular platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter (X), YouTube etc.

3. Logo: A brand logo is the key part of your digital branding. Never pick a random logo from the internet and use it. I have seen many clients who spend $5 for a logo and then spend $500K for advertising. What is the point if you spend a lot of money for Ads and the people coming to your website are not interested because you fail to impress them? The logo plays a key role in your branding efforts. 4. Email Marketing and Newsletter: I am not a big fan of email marketing but it does work well if you have a database of loyal customers. Regularly sending informative and promotional emails to subscribers can help your brand reach to the people more often.

5. Customer Relations; This is where a lot of companies fail. I have seen companies investing huge money in branding activities but failing to satisfy their customers. No matter how much money you spend for advertising, you won't be able to maintain your brand value unless your customers are happy for you.

In my experience as an SEO Analyst, Digital Branding involves the process of establishing a brand's presence online, creating appropriate digital footprints and spreading awareness on selective niches on the internet.  There are many processes one must follow to effectively implement Digital Branding. 

The first and most important thing is to create a space on the internet for your brand - a website. Creating a website with appropriate SEO-optimized content will help the SERPs list your website at the top. Social Media is the next step in spreading your digital footprint. In today's age, I think most brands create their social media accounts before they start a website as it is easier to reach out to their niche population, especially with the phenomenon of social media marketing. Creating an app for your service or product is the next way to go. Running ads for your products offline - informing about the new website can also help people learn about the brand and explore its digital persona.
