We’re a trading company in Dubai. Is cloud ERP safe, or should we keep our data on a local server?
We’re a trading company in Dubai, and our ERP vendor is pushing us to move to the cloud. Right now everything sits on a server in our office. I’m worried about what happens to our customer and supplier data if it’s stored somewhere else, and whether UAE rules affect where it can be kept. Our IT guy says cloud is fine, but the vendor also gets paid more if we switch. Is cloud ERP actually safe, or should we keep our data on a local server? What should I ask before deciding?
