How does ChatGPT generated content affect SEO and ranking of websites?
I'm curious about the potential impact of incorporating ChatGPT-generated content into my website's content strategy.

You might have already heard of ChatGPT, especially the countless and limitless things it can accomplish. You might have even used or are using it on a daily basis. But what is ChatGPT? Do you think that the content generated through this tool affects a website’s SEO and ranking?
I started using ChatGPT, sometime in late November of 2022 and the first thing I asked it was how to make Chicken Biryani! Alas, I was surprised when it gave a well-curated response and have been using it ever since whenever I needed it. With the recent release of ChatGPT version 4, I was just shocked by the demonstration of how ChatGPT4 coded an entire website into existence while it was just fed a rough diagram of the home page of a website drawn on a napkin!
Created by OpenAI, an American Artificial Intelligence Research Company, ChatGPT stands for Chat Generative Pre-training Transformer. In simple words, ChatGPT is a chatbot, but what makes it stand out from other chatbots we encounter is NLP or Natural Language Processing and the wide neural network of diverse information it is fed. These two elements fuse together to make ChatGPT perceive enquiries from individuals on any subject and generate naturally sounding yet well-researched responses to them. ChatGPT might be able to give you better answers, faster than you might be able to procure through surfing the web, but you must keep in mind that CHatGPT is a generative tool and can generate nonsensical and stupifying responses, either if the enquiry is incorrect or because of the limitations of the machine.
As we all know, the ranking of a website depends on how well the SEO factors are implemented efficiently throughout the website. And in my personal opinion, I would say that content tops the list of these SEO factors; ‘Content is King’. But what happens when any individual can ask ChatGPT to generate SEO content for their website with ease? And they definitely can, which leads to the dilemma - which website will Google give priority to while ranking?
At the end of the day, ChatGPT is a machine and machines are repetitive, they have their own pattern style. Throughout my recent research, I did not come across any news stating Google’s official stance on the ChatGPT dilemma. Of course, there are already systems like ZeroGPT, which can detect whether a text is generated via CHatGPT and it is not much of a task for Google to implement such a system. In going through Google's Helpful content update, which states that Google gives priority to content that is helpful for humans rather than content that is generated for ranking a site, it is obvious that Google can monitor the use of ChatGPT content throughout a website and decrease the ranking of the website according to how it is used.
I mean you could ask chatGPT to write content that cannot be detected by Google but would it be able to? After all, right now we are using just the 3rd version of ChatGPT - ChatGPT 3 and Google stays on top of the list by being the best in their field. Google has become a day-to-day mandate in the 21st century and the world is only still getting used to ChatGPT. As of now, there are no explicit reasons stating that ChatGPT content affects the ranking of a site and I would advise everyone to be in check with Google’s new updates regarding the same.

Well at the end of the day it's actually the keywords and phrases related to the website's niche that determine the ranking and SEO of a website. So using ChatGPT can be of great use if you can incorporate certain keywords that can improve the website's engagement, therefore it can help in improving the website's ranking as more people will be visiting the website. But there's also a flip side that if the content provided by chatGPT doesn't have any relevant keywords and is of poor quality that can affect the engagement adversely to a point that the amount of people visiting the website can stoop.

ChatGPT has the ability to automatically create high-quality, interesting content that search engine juggernauts like Google can readily exploit to boost their search engine rankings.
ChatGPT doesn't immediately impact a website's SEO or ranking. However, if the content produced by ChatGPT is incorporated in the content of other websites, it may have an indirect effect on SEO and ranking.
The quality and relevancy of the material, for instance, could have an impact on the SEO and ranking of a website if it uses ChatGPT content to produce blog posts, articles, or other sorts of content. Websites that offer their users relevant and high-quality material are given priority by search engines like Google. A website's SEO and ranking may be enhanced if the content produced by ChatGPT is of a high caliber and relevancy
