What should I check about data privacy before my app collects UAE customer details?
I’m launching a booking app for my car rental company in the UAE. It will collect customers’ names, phone numbers, Emirates ID copies and driving licence details. My developer says I need a privacy policy, but I’m not sure what else I should check. Where should the data be stored, how long can I keep it, and do I need customers’ permission before collecting it? What should I sort out before launch so I don’t run into legal trouble later?
